I’m a California girl who married a Tennessee country boy. I’ve been living in the south for 2 years now and I’m still adjusting to the culture shock. I use to live 5 minutes away from wonderful stores; now the closest supermarket is called Piggly Wiggly. Yeah.
It’s not all bad living in the boonies though. The people are so helpful and the sense of community is amazing. I may have to drive an hour for decent groceries, but the largest fresh water creek in TN is right across from my driveway. The beautiful summers in the country definitely help to soften the blow of the inconveniences.
Below is where I spend every day in the Summer. Point made.
I’m married to a wonderful, godly, compassionate, fun, hardworking, hunting man. He makes life very interesting. I never dreamed I’d be so blessed.
I absolutely love to cook and bake. I enjoy making people happy with food and creating recipes. I’m a health and food snob. I’m just going to admit it right now. Although, I’m not above making unrighteous food for my hunter.
I also relish a great run. I’m currently training for my first of many half marathons. My wonderful friend, Annapurna, is an Ironman and my trainer. I’m so lucky! A pre-warning, I will brag about my runs, splits, and times. They’re not that impressive but knowing I get to publicly display them makes me run harder. Vanity, I know.
Sorry for making this the longest “about” page ever! Enjoy the bog and please comment.
